LOVE IS A UNION, A PRESENCE, AN AFFIRMATION

I would like to give a brief definition of love which we all can keep in mind:

LOVE IS A UNION, A PRESENCE, AN AFFIRMATION

A  Brief Homily Given at a Wedding

To be married is to be present with one another,  to spend time with one another, to listen to one another, to know one another.

To be married is to encourage one another to be the best and the most that one another can be so that as marriage progresses each becomes more fulfilled in themselves and in the depth of their union.

With such a life, love grows and continues to grow, a blessing to one another.

As it ripples out and overflows, your love becomes a blessings to the community and even to the  world.

AMEN

About

Rev Betsy’s Wedding Blog is  your special spot for sharing your thoughts about your wedding and its meaning.  I am an ordained Interfaith Minister who officiates at weddings at The Hill in Hudson, New York.  If you are getting married at The Hill and looking for an officiant, I would be happy to talk to you.  Call at 646-249-0255 or fill out the  comment/contact page on this blog.

I have and will continue to publish some of my reflections on weddings and invite you who have been  or will be married at The Hill to do the same.  Please send your pieces to me and I will select some to publish on my blog.

I want this blog to be a place for reflection on the major step one is taking in one’s life  in marriage and also as a place to reflect on its meaning as the years go by.
